Pallet Racking Removal and Teardown Services
Organized Teardowns for Lease Exits, Relocations, and Warehouse or Distribution Center Decommissioning
Clear Your Facility on Schedule
Warehouse Cubed provides pallet racking removal services for lease exits, relocations, facility closures, layout changes, and rack replacement projects. Our crews dismantle the rack, organize the components, prepare materials for transport, and coordinate load-out or haul-away.
We plan the work around inventory removal, dock access, other contractors, move-out dates, and handback requirements. Your scope may include rack disassembly, relocation, purchase of reusable rack, or haul-away for recycling or disposal. A warehouse shelving removal service can also be included when shelving is part of the same project.
One coordinated plan keeps the crew, transportation, material ownership, and final facility condition aligned with your deadline.

AWARD WINNING
SERVICE PROVIDER
Pallet Rack Teardown for Common Facility Changes
We plan racking teardowns for situations such as:
- Lease exits: Clear rack before the landlord walkthrough or required handback date.
- Warehouse relocation: Label, bundle, and load components for storage or reinstallation.
- Facility decommissioning: Remove rack, shelving, and other approved materials when a building closes or changes use.
- Layout changes: Remove selected rows for new aisles, work areas, equipment, or storage plans.
- Rack replacement: Dismantle damaged, incompatible, or excess racking before the new system arrives.
The site survey confirms what will be removed, what must remain, and how cleared areas will be released to your team or other contractors.

What Our Racking Removal Service Includes
The scope depends on the type of racking systems, site conditions, schedule, and destination of the material. A project can include:
- Reviewing layouts, quantities, access, and move-out requirements
- Coordinating unloading, work zones, staging, and other contractors
- Removing beams, decking, supports, spacers, guards, uprights, anchors, and related parts
- Labeling, sorting, stacking, banding, and securing reusable components
- Coordinating forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, tools, trailers, and dock access
- Loading material or staging it for pickup
- Hauling away approved material for reuse, recycling, or disposal
- Sweeping the cleared area for the agreed handback condition
Before mobilization, we confirm responsibilities for inventory, containers, dock doors, access, and material ownership. Building repairs and other work outside the removal scope are documented separately.
Our Warehouse Pallet Rack Removal Process
1. Site Survey and Removal Plan
We review the location, rack type, quantity, photos, available drawings, schedule, access, and destination of the material. The survey confirms work zones, equipment needs, staging areas, removal sequence, and load-out plan.
We also identify material that will be sold, stored, moved, recycled, or discarded before teardown begins.
2. Unload and Secure the Work Area
Pallet rack must be unloaded before teardown. The crew secures the work zone, confirms access routes, stages equipment, and reviews the sequence. For phased projects, cleared rack sections are released according to the agreed schedule.
Dock doors, aisles, and staging areas must stay clear enough for the planned equipment and material movement.
3. Teardown, Sort, and Bundle
The crew removes the included components in sequence. Reusable material is labeled and grouped by type, size, and destination. Beams and uprights are stacked and banded. Unwanted pieces are separated for the approved haul-away, recycling, or disposal plan.
Clear labels help keep similar components together and reduce confusion during storage, sale, transport, or reinstallation.
4. Load-Out or Transfer
Bundled material is staged and secured for shipment. We coordinate load-out with the trailers, pickup schedule, dock capacity, and destination. Relocated rack can be organized to support the planned installation sequence.
Trailer availability and loading order are confirmed before material begins moving through the dock area.

Sell Us Your Used Pallet Racking
Warehouse Cubed buys used pallet racking as part of qualifying removal and warehouse decommissioning projects. To request a review, provide photos, quantities, rack type, beam and upright dimensions, condition, location, and the date the facility must be cleared.
We identify material that can be added to our used inventory and keep it separate during teardown. Damaged, incomplete, or unsuitable pieces can be included in a haul-away or recycling plan when that service is part of the project.
The buyback scope is confirmed after the rack and removal conditions are reviewed. You can also browse our used pallet racking inventory for replacement components or another system.

Relocate and Reinstall Your Existing Rack
Racking that still fits your operation may be moved to the next facility. Warehouse Cubed can coordinate rack disassembly, labeling, bundling, transport planning, layout support, and reinstallation.
The new site must be reviewed for building dimensions, clear height, columns, docks, utilities, aisle needs, rack condition, and missing or incompatible components.
Our pallet rack relocation service can include a phased move. Components can be loaded in the order needed for installation at the new site.
Prepare for Your Pallet Rack Teardown
Before removing pallet racking, confirm:
- The rack, shelving, guards, and accessories included
- When inventory and loose materials will be removed
- Available docks, staging areas, power, and access routes
- Onsite lifts, forklifts, trailers, dumpsters, or recycling containers
- Destinations for reusable, relocated, recycled, and discarded material
- Active areas that must remain open
- The deadline and required handback condition
Share landlord rules, scheduling restrictions, and access procedures during planning so they can be included in the project scope.
